Staff records, approvals and tips

Employees

Keep every staff record in one list, with Active and Inactive tabs and search. Add names, a 5-digit passcode, phone, email, date of birth, date of joining, ID and address. Pick a user role, turn on Track work hours, and add job roles with an hourly wage and a default.

Manager approvals

Give a role the Authorize permission and it can approve sensitive actions. Voids, discounts, refunds, tip adjust, tax and fee removal, and guest edits ask for a manager passcode first.

FAQ

How do staff clock in and out?
From the lock screen, with their own passcode. They don’t need to unlock the POS, and it works offline too.
What can a user role control?
Each module has View, Create, Update, Delete and Authorize. Use Select all for full access, and turn a role on or off.
What keeps the POS secure between shifts?
Each employee’s passcode unlocks the POS. It locks itself after 3 minutes idle, and after 5 wrong tries it locks out. The lock screen shows who locked it.
Can I export hours for payroll?
Track work hours records each employee’s clock-ins and clock-outs. [Payroll export format: confirm]
Can employees change their own settings?
Yes. The account sheet lets them reset their passcode (auto-generate one or choose their own), pick a light or dark theme, turn cloud print on or off, and see the app version.
